The King Rules
Even as the matches progressed in Wimbeldon and players started crashing out of the tournament, I had predicted the clash of the titans in the finals. A fight between the king of grass court, Federer, and the king of clay court, Nadal, was a sure guarantee. And my predictions had not gone wrong as they met for yet another time. I placed my bets on Federer, as the way he progressed his game in the matches till the finals, were mind blowing. Not having lost any set in all the matches and having a strong record in grass court, he was all set to win the tournament. And he didn’t dissapoint me as he showed yet again why he is considered the king. He hardly left Nadal any chance of turning the tides.
The first set saw Federer stamp his class as he took it 6-0. Everything went wrong for Nadal as Federer proved too hot for him. He looked completely out of touch as he lost the set. Federer was all set for another comprehensive win.
The second and third sets saw Nadal show a fight. Though he lost the second set 6-7 and won the third set 7-6, he gave a stiff competition for Federer. Federer was not able to dominate his rival, as the 2 sets saw some great tennis from both the stars.
The fourth set was all Federer. He stamped his class again as he took the set 6-3, and the trophy. There were very little chances for the Spaniard, as he was unable to continue his dominance on the champion, one which he stamped in their previous encounter.
Federer is only the third player, after Borg and Sampras, to win four titles at Wimbledon, in a row. With age on his side, he is all set to conquer an era, which no other player would be in the history of tennis.

Federer was amazing. He is playing in a whole new different level atleast in grass. I am really sure, He's all set to break Sampras's 7 Wimbledon titles.

It was the 'first Wimbledon finals' jitters for Nadal. One could see that from the way he started & moved in the first set. I am sure Federer's reign at Wimbledon is all set to end next year. Nadal proved in no small terms yday that he has it in him to defeat Federer on grass. I cant wait for the US Open.

filbert, the first set proved the champion in Federer. The second and third sets showed that if theres one to beat Federer, then its Nadal. But the final set was all Federer. Lets see in the US open whether its only the grass court where Nadal gets defeated to the world's number 1
I guess its only a matter of time for Nadal to catch up with the "Super Super Cool" FedEx. I mean - on Hard Courts and Grass, as Nadal has already proved that he is the King of Clay.
But, yes ... all this sportive competition is so exciting for all of us and good for the sport itself.
kamz, hes just 20 and has many more years to go. So guess we shld see him beat Federer, soon. But on the other hand, seeing Federer play has me think whether it wld really happen.
